Forever You Collection

Overview

The Forever You Collection explores how a seasonal retail campaign can extend beyond traditional product promotion into an editorial brand experience. The project demonstrates how storytelling, typography, and editorial design can deepen emotional engagement while reinforcing the campaign's visual identity.

The Challenge

The objective was to create a visual system that moved beyond traditional product promotion and positioned the collection through personality, attitude, and lifestyle storytelling. The concept needed to feel modern, editorial, and aspirational while still remaining approachable to Forever 21’s Gen Z and young Millennial customer base.

Design Approach

The visual direction combined minimal black-and-white photography, bold oversized typography, and clean editorial layouts to create a sophisticated fashion-driven aesthetic. Each spread introduced a personality archetype — such as “The Romantic,” “The Adventurer,” and “The Free Spirit” — using typography and styling to reinforce emotional identity through fashion.

The restrained visual palette and strong typographic structure intentionally contrasted with Forever 21’s typically fast-paced retail environment, allowing the collection to feel more curated, elevated, and fashion editorial in tone.

Project Impact

The final concept demonstrated how Forever 21’s seasonal campaigns could extend beyond retail promotion into a more emotionally driven fashion narrative. By combining editorial design, typography systems, and storytelling, the project explored a more premium and concept-driven approach to youth fashion branding.

What’s Your Story?

Overview

What's Your Story?" explores how Forever 21's seasonal campaign could extend into a narrative-driven brand experience inspired by youth culture, identity, and self-expression. The project demonstrates how editorial storytelling, expressive typography, and layered graphics can strengthen campaign engagement across multiple touchpoints.

The Challenge

The project aimed to connect with Gen Z consumers through a format that felt authentic, emotional, and socially driven rather than traditionally promotional. The challenge was to create a campaign language that reflected the individuality, spontaneity, and emotional storytelling commonly associated with younger audiences and social culture.

Design Approach

The creative direction blended fashion photography with handwritten journal-style narratives, painted graphic textures, and expressive typography inspired by scrapbooks, personal diaries, and social storytelling. Each layout was designed to feel personal and imperfect, reinforcing the idea that fashion becomes part of an individual’s own story and experiences.

Bright painted graphic elements and layered compositions added energy and spontaneity while helping unify the campaign across editorial spreads and promotional applications.

Project Impact

This exploration demonstrates how editorial storytelling can extend a seasonal retail campaign beyond product promotion, creating a more emotionally engaging and fashion-forward brand experience. By integrating editorial design, typographic systems, and narrative-driven layouts, the project illustrates how a cohesive visual language can strengthen campaign identity while elevating the perceived value of the brand.
